Xiaomi’s latest budget performer, the Redmi Note 5 Pro, once again raises the performance bar for mainstream smartphones. The chip responsible for this is Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 636 mobile platform, which debuts with the Note 5 Pro. The custom Kyro 260 CPU cores promises improved computational performance while the Adreno 509 GPU claims to offer better graphics performance, compared to the Snapdragon 630.
