The Gear 360 (2017) is my new favorite camera. Shooting photos and video in a full 360-degree sphere, being able to give my audience total control of that fishbowl, and being able to create infinity spheres called “tiny planets” … it’s the most fun I’ve had with a camera in years. True, the Gear 360 (2017) is a bit of a downgrade from last year’s Gear 360 on the spec sheet, and it would never be my first choice for more conventional photos, but its crazy 360 camera capabilities are so wild that I happily forgive those shortcomings.
