Samsung Galaxy Note 5 vs Nexus 6 Android 6.0 Marshmallow – Speed Test HD The Samsung Galaxy Note5 brings a huge redesign to the Note series: it adopts the glass and metal styling of the Galaxy S6, but in a larger, 5.7″ form factor, and it features the signature S Pen stylus. The Note5 sports the 14nm Exynos 7420 octa-core system chip with a whopping 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. In terms of photography, it sports a 16-megapixel rear cam with OIS, while up front there is a 5-megapixel selfie shooter, and both cameras sport wide, f/1.9 lenses. The battery on the Note5 is smaller than on the Note 4: it’s a 3000mAh juicer that is not user removable. The base model of the phone ships with 32GB of internal storage, and there is a costlier, 64GB version, but both lack support for expandable storage.

Please make the same comparison with the Nexus 6 running 6.0.1 (final) and please do a multitasking test too!

not a good comparison at all. you need to use same apps when doing a speed test. Different apps load differently. Also using a beta version of software on one device is not likely to give you optimal performance.

Wasn't a fair comparison, but even if it was, the Note 5 would win without breaking a sweat.

Thanks for taking the time creating this, but the tests would be valuable if they painted a more complete picture. Would you be able to setup a more objective test by installing and testing the exact not equivalent apps on the devices plus some heavier loading apps? Chrome browser versus Samsung browser is not as good as a test as chrome browser versus chrome browser on each. Also loading something like Angry Birds or Clash of Clans on each will be a more intensive demo as well. 1st run comparison and 2nd run comparisons would be helpful too to understand how multitasking cache tweaks are done from google's perspective versus samsung touchwiz. This is a very valuable test since the Nexus 6 has a top notch 32 bit processor and actually might beat the gen1 64 bit processors since the 64'ers had to employ throttling to control heat issues. I would not be surprised if the nexus 6 beats out the 6p when it is released.

run the test twice and you see the old nexus 6 will be faster as the note 5 will have to reopen every single apps

+xeetechcare the gallery vs google photo isn't an accurate comparison because the Google photo pulls your cloud stored google photos and the gallery pulls local photos

You should think about your Video beforehand. The Nexus was on an old Preview and also so fresh you always had to sign in.
Also, why wouldn't you simply compare the same apps? Install Chrome on the Note for instance or use some third party apps. Here you're comparing apples to peaches, since Chrome's featureset is pretty heavy.
