While festive offers are still going on over the purchase of Apple’s recently unveiled iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, the smarphone giant has already planned to launch another model next year. This is no rumour as a confirmed report stated that the upcoming iPhone 8 will feature an al-glass design. There will be three models under the iPhone 8 category- a 4.7-inch iPhone 8 along with the standard 5.5-inch model and a new 5-inch model.
What is to be noted here is Apple’s decision to shift to glass bodies. The new design of iPhone 8 will also feature metal, but it will be inside. However, reports stated that Apple could change things at the last minute like it did with iPhone 7 last year, when it switched from a single lens iPhone 7 Plus to dual lens design only six months before the launch.
iPhone 8 models are also expected to have OLED displays with curved edges. However, this will be available only on the 5.5-inch iPhone models. Interestingly, iPhone 8 might include wireless charging as its unique feature. The wireless charging feature will be possible because of the glass backs that will be incorporated in the model.
Apple is not leaving any chance to launch an upgraded and newly designed iPhone 8 next year. It is also attempting to woo iPhone 7 users to shift their hands towards the upgraded and unique glass bodied iPhone 8.
The launch of iPhone 8 will mark the 10th anniversary of the product.
