Apple Is PURPOSELY Slowing Down (Older) iPhones. Here’s Why…

Share this article on social media.

Apple has admitted throttling older iPhones due to their degrading batteries. This “power management” feature was implemented to ensure older iPhones would remain stable and not shutdown while under load. This may sound like a smart move, but customers are angry at apple for not being transparent about this feature. Subscribe To ReviewTechUSA for more great content!

For a ‘tech guy’ I’m surprised you thought your step daughter was lying. Especially about an older model like the 6s. I also thought that all of this was pretty obvious years ago…. I’m sure every company does this

Samsung battery in the s8 is supposed to degrade slower due to special chemistry.

I HAVE A QUESTION. IF YOUR IPHONE IS SLOW WITH AN OLD BATTERY AND THE NEW UPDATE WHICH SLOWS DOWN THE PHONE. WELL IF YOU BUY A NEW BATTERY DOES THE SOFTWARE KNOW THAY YOU HAVE INSTALLED A NEW BATTERY AND SPEED THE PHONE UP AGAIN OR DOES THE SOFTWARE KEEP THE PHONE SLOW WITH THE NEW BATTERY IN IT ?????

This is not new. If you know what planned obscelesence is then you realize most products are made to break down over time.

Vance Packard was writing about this "Built-it Obsolescence" in the 1950's, and people STILL haven't worked it out yet. Why?

I mean I really don't see a problem. You can replace the battery with a cheap internet kit. Apple made the right decision to slow processing instead of your phone just dying. What is the better solution? Switching to Android is not a solution. They're two completely different products with their own sets of issues.

This is why I never dl iOS updates. My phone still runs great after three years and I deny every update request(IPhone SE). Also the issue in this video sounds like the batteries might need resets. Let it die, recharge it to 100% and then repeat that so you do it for a total of three times.
